To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Developing policies and standards related to maritime safety and security. Managing or serving as a team lead for projects responsible for developing maritime standards and regulations. Preparing a variety of correspondence, reports, and/or documents related to maritime regulations and proposals In order to receive full consideration, you must submit a sample of 10 pages or fewer that demonstrates your technical writing experience. Acceptable documents include, but are not limited to: instructions, guidance, regulations, reports, studies, memoranda, and correspondence.
