1. Who is eligible
Any user whose first Premium charge (monthly or annual) was less than 7 calendar days ago, on any payment method Stripe accepts. Eligibility is calculated from the timestamp of the most recent successful charge, not the subscription start date, so a renewal that fails and re-succeeds resets the window for that specific charge. Renewal charges are not eligible; the 7-day window applies to the first Premium purchase per user.
2. How to request a refund
Two ways:
- Self-serve (preferred): Sign in, go to Settings → Subscription → "Refund my subscription." The button only shows if you're inside the 7-day window. One click, instant.
- Email: Write to billing@cvhive.net from the email address on your account. We respond within one business day.
3. What happens after a refund
- Your subscription is cancelled immediately. Premium-only features (resume-scanner scoring, LaTeX export, the full template gallery, AI tokens above the free tier) stop working right away. Your resumes themselves are not deleted, you keep read access and PDF export forever, on the free allowances.
- The refunded amount returns to your original payment method. Stripe processes refunds in 5-10 business days; banks vary.
- Token allocations granted by the Premium subscription are zeroed. Any tokens already spent stay spent.
4. After the 7 days
We don't do partial refunds, prorated refunds, or negotiated refunds for older charges. The trade-off works in your favor: there are zero auto-renew tricks, no hidden trial upsells, no "cancel costs $5" fees, no requirement to schedule a call. You can cancel any time after 7 days from Settings and keep Premium access through the end of the period you've already paid for.
5. Disputes / chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback through your bank instead of using the refund button, we revoke access immediately when Stripe notifies us of the dispute. We'll always honor a refund request inside the 7-day window if you ask us first, please do that before going to your bank, because chargebacks cost both sides time and fees that the no-questions-asked refund avoids.
6. Why this policy exists
The resume-builder category has a long history of $2.95 trial traps, $24.95 surprise auto-renew charges, and refund-blocking support flows. We don't do that. The 7-day refund is real, the button is one click, and the policy lives at its own URL on purpose so you can verify it before you pay.
