This vacancy is being announced at one grade level. Specialized Experience at the FP-3 (GS-13) Level: To qualify for this position at the FP-3 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression, FP-4 or GS-11. This experience must be directly related to the work of the position and must have equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the role. Specialized experience includes: - Writing and editing a variety of communication products, including articles, speeches, press releases, print materials, and digital content to convey agency programs and policies to diverse audiences. - Researching, analyzing, and synthesizing information from multiple sources, including interviews with officials and subject matter experts, to produce accurate and compelling written materials. - Reviewing, editing, and rewriting documents to ensure clarity; accuracy; alignment with agency writing or AP style, as appropriate; and consistency of messaging across internal and external products. - Editing or contributing to major agency reports and high-visibility publications to ensure readability, accuracy, and compliance with editorial standards. -Adjusts formatting and applies agency document templates and standards to ensure writing is presented in a manner that visually reflects the agency's branding, including colors, photography, and typography. Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level. ~AND~ Time-in-Grade Requirements: Current or former Federal employees, including Peace Corps employees, must meet applicable Time-in-Grade requirements to be eligible for this position. For positions above the FP-09 (GS-05) level, you must have completed at least one year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade in the normal line of progression for the position to which you are applying. All current or former Federal employees, including internal employees, must provide a copy of their SF-50(s), "Notification of Personnel Action," to demonstrate that you meet Time-in-Grade requirements.
