You must meet the Basic Requirements and the Specialized Experience to qualify for the Division Chief, Artificial Intelligence, as described below. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants must meet 3 of the 5 statements below to be found qualified. Qualifying specialized experience for GS-15 includes: Experience with leading large, multidisciplinary technical teams and enterprise programs to deliver complex AI, cloud, IT modernization, and enterprise technology solutions. Experience with establishing and overseeing enterprise AI governance, including policies, standards, intake, prioritization, risk reviews, lifecycle monitoring, compliance tracking, and responsible AI controls. Experience with directing AI and emerging technology initiatives from strategy through operational adoption, including prototyping, pilots, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management on modern cloud platforms. Experience with serving as a technical subject-matter expert in AI/ML, generative AI, cloud platforms, enterprise architecture, data ecosystems, automation, and modern engineering practices. Experience with translating mission, policy, legal, cybersecurity, privacy, data, and business requirements into technical execution through standards, architecture roadmaps, implementation plans, governance controls, and cloud-native solutions using APIs, microservices, DevSecOps, MLOps/LLMOps, secure SDLC, automation, and advanced data engineering.
