For the GS14: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Government (or equivalent) performing ALL of the following: 1) Providing oversight and guidance on agency favorable suitability and fitness determinations to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and personnel security policies; and 2) Recommending vetting policy and procedures and translating legal and policy requirements into operational guidance; and 3) Reviewing and guiding the processing of cases, including those involving complex, potentially controversial, or sensitive issues, or those that warrant a government-wide debarment; and 4) Analyzing adjudication program operations, identifying process improvements, or preparing reports, briefings, or responses related to personnel vetting activities. Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-13 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS 14 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
