For the GS 12: You must have at least one year (52 weeks, full-time) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (or comparable level of experience from outside the Federal service) performing ALL the following duties: Leading or coordinating the work of human resources staff responsible for processing federal personnel actions utilizing federal HRIT systems and/or maintaining official personnel records; Processing or reviewing personnel actions using human resources systems and formalized guidance such as the Guide to Processing Personnel Actions (GPPA); Reviewing official personnel folders or electronic personnel records to verify required documentation, identify missing or inaccurate federal employment data, and determine corrective action; and Advising managers, human resources staff, employees, payroll, benefits, or other functional areas on personnel processing, recruitment and placement, pay administration, benefits impacts, or records management requirements. Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS12 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
