Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Understanding of engineering/architectural concepts and practices; 2) Administering contracts, responding to correspondence, preparing government reports, conducting meetings, and monitoring quality and safety; 3) Understanding of various construction contract types (e.g., design-bid-build, design-build, MACC, ID/IQ, JOC); 4) Understanding of computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and scheduling software (such as Primavera); 5) Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of individuals, from junior staff to senior leaders; 6) Developing creative and technically sound solutions to complex and unusual problems where standard processes may not apply; 7) Managing multiple priorities and ensuring that project deadlines and budgets are met.
