To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Analyzing and testing human-rated spacecraft structures, including atmospheric reentry heat shields, their support structures, or launch vehicle structures, as well as performing structural analysis and testing for spacecraft and aircraft systems; Conducting theoretical and experimental structural analysis of advanced aerospace vehicle systems including spacecraft, launch vehicles, and aircraft to determine their behavior in atmospheric and space environments, or their interaction with the environment; Documenting and presenting work products using reports, trade studies, presentations, technical papers, design guides, to explain the results of structural analyses completed to assess the spacecraft, launch vehicles and aircraft structures.
