Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Applying mastery of comprehensive security principles (physical, operational, personnel, industrial) and federal/DoD directives to execute technical reviews and vulnerability analyses of Force Protection programs, system designs, and Survivability Engineering architectures; 2) Evaluating intelligence and open-source media to protect critical assets, utilizing expert knowledge of Mission Assurance databases to manage risk and prevent unauthorized disclosure of classified information; 3) Utilizing advanced analytical techniques and sound judgment to synthesize complex factors, prioritize multiple dynamic assignments, and propose timely, effective solutions that align with program costs and operational schedules; and 4) Communicating complex technical and administrative information clearly-both orally and in writing-to diverse military and civilian audiences, serving as a highly effective and tactful expert on interagency boards and working groups. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
