To qualify for the position, you must meet the following requirements: Applicants must have experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to independently perform the duties typically required of a Printing Plant Worker (Leader). The screen-out element for this position is: The Ability to do Lead or Supervise: These duties include: 1) Possess skill in setting the pace by personal performance, instructing and guiding workers at all stages by setting an example for others to follow, displaying good morale, attention to work, compliance, safety and good housekeeping rules and practices. 2) Possess the ability to handle and control light and heavy-weight powered equipment such as vacuum cleaners, high-speed buffers, polishers, floor scrubbers, etc., and make minor repairs when necessary. 3) Sets the pace for Fork Truck Lift operations to lead in operating an electrically powered industrial fork truck or a power hand jack to load/unload trash hoppers, skids, pallets, bales or rolls. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
