Candidates must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the (FV-K or FG15) level that is typically in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: Experience in directing work of subordinate employees and/or managers or multiple organizational units/projects/programs and across multiple function and/or disciplines. Specialized experience for this position is the application of in-depth knowledge of National Airspace System (NAS) equipment, air traffic control operations and procedures and policies and overall functionality of the NAS. Experience working as an Air Traffic Controller in an ATS facility is preferred.
