Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens To qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Minimum Education Requirement: Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) - Army JROTC NCO Instructors must hold a current certification to teach JROTC from United States Army headquarters services department. AND Specialized Experience: Must meet one of the following pathways outlined in 10 USC 2031: Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps: A. Retired Army Non-Commissioned Officer or Army Warrant Officer whose qualifications are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment; B. Army Non-Commissioned Officer or Army Warrant Officer who are separated with an honorable discharge within the past 5 years with at least 8 years of service and are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment; or C.
