Examples of specialized experience includes experience with organizational functions and structure combined with knowledge of the organization's mission and problems in order to perform studies and analyses leading to changes/improvement in military performance reporting, in military decorations, and a variety of administrative processes. Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to gather, assemble and analyze facts, draw conclusions, devise solutions to problems, and identify changes and trends. Knowledge and understanding of writing, editing, and processing military performance reports, promotion recommendation forms and decorations, both military and civilian. Ability to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines, deal with others effectively, and plan and organize work in an office with multiple priorities and projects while dealing with others effectively. Knowledge and skill to coordinate work of the office with other offices. Knowledge of grammar, writing, editing practices and style requirements. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to use office automation tools and techniques to support officer operations; must be a qualified typist. Skill in using a networked computer system and various software packages in a windows environment. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
