A qualified candidate must possess: Must demonstrate leadership skills and possess a comprehensive knowledge of wide range concepts, principles and practices relating to the authorization and development of Outdoor Recreation programs. Skill in the application and utilization of such knowledge and commitment to the standards and procedures of sound environmental practices, Coast Guard, and motor vehicle (trailer) and all applicable state/local regulations, policies and directives. A demonstrated knowledge of the current techniques of operating a financial establishment, including some experience with point of sale cash register equipment, basic computer software, accounting and budgeting functions. Must be experienced in providing exceptional customer service to all patrons and training subordinate staff to provide the same. Skill in assessing the needs of patrons and determining what programs/equipment will be of interest to patrons. Ability to market the program and motivate eligible patrons. Must possess the skill and knowledge to analyze cost/income to achieve a self-supporting operation/program. Ability to plan schedules and supervise work to achieve the most efficient utilization of facilities, employees and equipment. Ability to problem solve, improvise when necessary, work under pressure and handle crises effectively.
