Two years of general experience in working/coordinating a Recycling program and two years of specialized experience, which demonstrates knowledge of identifying, classifying, categorizing and processing solid waste' materials. Knowledge of environmental concepts, principles and practices applicable to the full range of duties concerned with the implementation and administration of a Recycling Program. Ability to recognize and identify materials that require further processing such as removal of foreign parts or demilitarization and materials which could endanger the health or safety of personnel and therefore not to be sold as scrap. Ability to determine identification and condition of materials by visual observation. Knowledge of an ability to work with and understand DRMO and civilian contracts. Knowledge of international, DoD, federal, state and local and Navy rules and regulations pertaining to Solid Waste management. Computer knowledge with the ability to navigate through word processing, excel and power point programs. Ability to promote the Recycling Program. Ability to manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date reports and records. Ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
