TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENT: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. There is no time in grade requirement for the GS-05. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: GS-07 Grade Level: Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-05). Specialized experience is defined as experience in accounting or financial operational systems, analyzing reports/data and applying procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Basic analytical, technical and customer service skills and ability to make recommendations based on research; Procuring supplies, equipment or services for an organization in accordance with regulations governing the type of purchase; Assisting with budget development and execution; Providing organizational support services for an organization such as timekeeping, preparing travel vouchers, documents or correspondence and responding to procedural questions from staff or the public. -OR- Applicants may substitute a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) for the experience required for the GS-07 level. SAA is based on a GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0; class standing in the upper third of graduating class; or election to membership in a national scholastic honor society. To qualify based on education you must have: A master's or equivalent graduate degree in an accredited or pre-accredited college or university; or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or possession of a LL.B. or J.D degree, if related.
