Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 grade level in the Federal service which includes performing fire prevention inspections of a variety of facilities and equipment with continuing responsibility for an installation characterized by high degrees of fire hazards and potential severity; plan and direct the installation fire prevention programs and to serve as a technical advisor to verify code compliance in hazardous material handling, storage, and use. In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirement above, applicants must also possess: Fire Officer II, Fire Inspector II, Fire Instructor II, Hazardous Materials Incident Commander, Firefighter I/II certified through DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification System, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), or the Fire Service Professional Qualifications System (PRO-Board) in accordance with DoD 6055.06-M.. The incumbent must obtain and maintain National Registry Emergency Medical Technician as condition of employment.
