Bachelor's degree, or enrollment as a college senior in an accredited institution, is required in one of the following areas: Health Promotions, Health Education, Nutrition, Public Health, Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Sports Management, Psychology/Sports Psychology or a related field. NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification and USAW Level 1 must be obtained within first 12 months of employment. Three years's strength & conditioning coaching experience with collegiate, elite, or tactical athletes required. Experience with sports psychology and/or sports behavioral modification programs preferred. Experience working with nationally recognized sports governing organizations preferred. Certifications in CPR, AED, and first aid must be obtained and kept current throughout employment. Competency in public speaking, professional writing, computer literacy, and desktop publishing skills are preferred. Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and carry objects over 45lbs with assistance may be required. A valid driver's license and the ability to drive is required.
