To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as 1) manufacturing bespoke electro-mechanical devices using advanced media (metals, plastics, resins, composites) and machinery (CNC, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, welding); 2) using CAD software to research, design, and modify commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies into functional solutions for unique, constraint-heavy operational environments; AND 3) serving as a primary technical advisor to senior intelligence officers, coordinate cross-agency projects, and author complex technical documentation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GG/GS-12).
