Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes procuring supplies or services; assisting with simple purchase orders or other contract actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05 or above). OR You have successfully completed a half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as business administration, public administration, organizational management, or other closely related discipline pertinent to procurement. OR You have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have some graduate level education as described in B, but less than the required half year. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education by 9. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). OR You have the experience as described in A AND the education described in B. Minimum Quals GS-7: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work in performing clerical and technical work that supports the procurement of A-E services; preparing, controlling, and reviewing procurement documents and reports; verifying information contained in procurement documents and reports; maintaining various procurement files; resolving a variety of contract content and formatting issues or discrepancies; performing work in support of procurement programs and operations; applying practical knowledge of procurement procedures, operations, and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06 or above). OR You have successfully completed one full academic year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as business administration, public administration, organizational management, or other closely related discipline pertinent to procurement. OR You have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have some graduate level education as described in B, but less than the required one year.
