For the GS-11:Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating and planning construction methods and procedures with contractor personnel; evaluating construction projects for compliance with plans and specification; inspecting construction work sites and work in progress; and performing quality control duties on assigned construction projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10). For the GS-12:Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes leading in the coordination and planning of construction projects; evaluating projects for compliance with plans and specification; inspecting construction work sites and work in progress; performing quality control duties on assigned construction projects; and performing the duties associated with de-energizing systems to allow construction work to occur safely. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
