One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Making final determinations for the issuance of security clearances or Public Trusts based on information from referrals and background investigations; AND - Investigating, fact-finding, and using evaluation practices and techniques pertaining to personnel security adjudications; AND - Drafting official correspondence related to personnel security adjudications (e.g., case summaries, clearance suspensions, Letters of Inquiry, Letters of Warning, and Statements of Reasons) AND - Providing advice on the development and interpretation of personnel suitability and security guidelines, policies, and regulations.
