You may qualify at the GS/GG -14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of qualifying experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GG/GS-13) in the Federal service that demonstrates the ability to: 1) Manage and implement cyber workforce programs and initiatives; develop, validate, and refine cyber work roles and associated knowledge, skills, abilities, and tasks (KSATs) and proficiency standards; 2) Analyze cyber workforce requirements, policies, and emerging mission needs to identify capability gaps and recommend solutions; and 3) Coordinate with senior leaders, functional communities, and subject matter experts to develop tools, training, communications, briefings, and reports that support cyber workforce implementation and inform strategic decision-making. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). A "certification" letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service.
