In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized Experience is defined as experience that demonstrates a thorough understanding of the oversight and assessment programs for operating power reactor sites, strong knowledge of NRC policies and procedures, and recent experience using dedicated information-technology systems (i.e., RPS, CACs, etc...). The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Demonstrated knowledge of the NRC's Reactor Oversight Process as applied to implementation of the inspection and assessment requirements and the self-assessment process. Demonstrated knowledge of inspection planning principles and the Reactor Programs System (RPS) inspection module to ensure consistency in data format and content, optimize inspection schedules and ensure timely completion of inspections. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across headquarters and regional personnel, both orally and in writing, as demonstrated by oral and written communications that are well organized, clear, and grammatically correct.
