Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Expert technical knowledge of aircraft carrier and/or submarine propulsion and auxiliary systems is required, with candidates expected to possess a strong foundation across a broad range of equipment. Steam Plant Cleanliness and Noise Reduction programs experience is highly advantageous. Demonstrated ability to review and evaluate contractor engineering and design products for compliance with contract specifications is required, including assessing requests for departures and engineering changes. Candidates must be capable of conducting ship checks to investigate equipment malfunctions, validate design intent, and support major ship events such as inspections and sea trials.
