This is an Interdisciplinary position that can be filled by the 0801 (General Engineering), 1301 (General Physical Science), 1520 (Mathematics), 1550 (Computer Science), or the 1560 (Date Science) series. The series that the selected applicant will be placed into depends on their qualifications. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 pay band (GS-09 through GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist applying engineering or scientific principles to plan, lead, or execute the design or development of complex software systems. Examples of specialized experience may include (1) Developing software in C, C++, Java, and/or python; (2) Developing and executing software tests and testing plans, including automated tests; (3) Utilizing data and software models to conduct system analysis studies to inform future system capabilities; (4) Developing and implementing physics and mathematical based models into software systems; (5) Developing, analyzing and ingesting large data models; (6) Working within an agile software development framework.
