In addition to the above appointment requirements, see below qualification requirements: To qualify at the GS-05 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 level in federal service assisting in staffing, recruitment, or outreach activities for an organization. Or Have successfully completed 4 academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree. Or Have a combination of post high school education and experience that together meet the qualification requirements for this position. Examples of specialized experience can include: Applying basic staffing principles to hire new talent. Participating in outreach events for an organization. Supporting an organization's special hiring programs processes. Using online recruitment platforms to engage and recruit employees or volunteers. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills & can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
