Specialized experience is defined as organizing functions of an office; making travel arrangements and preparing travel vouchers, preparing and reviewing correspondence; assisting with budget activities; processing time and attendance records; providing administrative support services; and utilizing computer skills to navigate through computer software. You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of 4 years of education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. Education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. Examples of specialized experience may include maintaining a filing system both electronic and hard copy, the use of computers to develop correspondence, memos, forms and other standardized documents, knowledge of preparing time and attendance; knowledge of administrative processes and procedures in travel and knowledge of commonly used software including word processing. Knowledge of property identification and accountability procedures, and experience coordinating purchasing activities; experience processing budget documents, recording expenditure transfers and reconciling a budget.
