Schedule and coordinate the acquisition, upgrade, and maintenance of customer workstations and related IT equipment.; 2. Provide support for the development, configuration, installation, and maintenance of Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure and services.; 3. Receive, respond to, and ensure the timely resolution of customer requests for technical assistance, including help desk tickets and service calls.; 4. Assist in the execution and monitoring of backup and recovery procedures for operating systems, applications, and network data. 5. Implement and maintain IT security controls, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and protecting systems, devices, and data from unauthorized access or security threats. AND, you qualify at the GS-12 level, if you meet the following qualification requirements: In order to qualify for an Information Technology Specialist, GS-2210 position at the GS-12 level, you must have at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following types of tasks: 1. Analyze configuration management processes and procedures and develop recommendations for improving configuration management through enhanced processes, software solutions, and technical standards.; 2. Resolve customer support requests involving complex integration, system configuration, and interoperability issues across diverse platforms, operating systems, applications, and desktop environments.; 3. Perform network configuration management functions to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of network infrastructure and services.; 4. Maintain daily Local Area Network (LAN) operations, including monitoring system performance, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions.; 5. Coordinate the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of LAN hardware, software, telecommunications systems, and networking components to support organizational operations.
