In order to qualify for the International Science Policy Analyst position which falls under the 0601 occupational Series, you must meet the following requirements by 11:59 pm EST on 06/26/2026: Basic Qualification Requirements: Education: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. -AND- Education/Relevant Years of Experience: Applicants must meet one of the following education and relevant years of experience combinations to qualify for the International Science Policy Analyst, AD-0601-00, Band E position (GS-15 equivalent): Bachelor's degree in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position AND six (6) years of comparable work in leading international regulatory policy and scientific engagement in medical products, including representing a regulatory authority in high-level foreign government negotiations, interpreting and influencing legislation/policy, and coordinating cross-agency strategy with strong expertise in global public health regulation. Master's degree in in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position AND five (5) years of comparable work in leading international regulatory policy and scientific engagement in medical products, including representing a regulatory authority in high-level foreign government negotiations, interpreting and influencing legislation/policy, and coordinating cross-agency strategy with strong expertise in global public health regulation. Doctorate degree in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position AND three (3) years of comparable work in leading international regulatory policy and scientific engagement in medical products, including representing a regulatory authority in high-level foreign government negotiations, interpreting and influencing legislation/policy, and coordinating cross-agency strategy with strong expertise in global public health regulation. MD/DO/DDS/DPM/DVM degree in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position AND three (3) years of comparable work in leading international regulatory policy and scientific engagement in medical products, including representing a regulatory authority in high-level foreign government negotiations, interpreting and influencing legislation/policy, and coordinating cross-agency strategy with strong expertise in global public health regulation.
