To qualify for this position, candidates must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the (FV-H or FG/GS-12) level that is typically in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Candidates must include specific examples in their work history to support how they meet the specialized experience. Specialized experience includes: experience with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the Privacy Act, and the ability to provide guidance to program offices and leadership on FOIA policies, disclosure determinations, and risk mitigation, including interpretation of exemptions under 5 U.S.C § 552.
