For GS-13 Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level of GS-12 in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Qualifying specialized experience includes ALL of the following: -Managing grants by applying knowledge of principles, laws, regulations, policies, practices, and guidelines (e.g. Executive Orders, Code of Federal Regulations) of grant or cooperative agreement programs. Examples include , but not limited to: Primary contact for a grant program, review and make grant action recommendations to the Grant Officer, and review and process grant amendments using electronic grant systems. -Experience with audit resolution, grant closeout cases, and/or formal debt collection proceedings; AND -Providing technical assistance and/or, training, and services to grantees. Examples of grantees include, but not limited to: Grant recipients: Such as, States, Institutions of higher level education, and non-profit organizations.
