Course work must include guidance and counseling in PreK-12 school, legal and ethical issues in counseling, counseling children and adolescents, administration and interpretation of tests, career counseling, and drug education. This certification requires completion of a practicum/internship. Certification as a National Certified School Counselor (NCSC) by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) will be accepted as fulfilling these requirements.
