In order to qualify for the GS-13, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: Managing IT projects through the full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to deliver IT products, services, or systems; AND Implementing IT modernization enhancements by applying IT principles, methods, and practices across system analysis, design, development, or testing; AND Conducting studies (such as feasibility analyses, cost analyses, or risk assessments) to develop recommendations on IT system improvements or process changes for management; AND Monitoring staff and contractor compliance with IT project plans, policies, or procedures.
