To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements: Education: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade. This experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to successfully perform the duties of the position. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Experience with applying counseling and guidance skills and techniques in order to effectively influence the attitudes, behavior and work habits of staff and interpersonal communications in order to instruct, advise and provide information and training. Experience with making sound decisions in emergency situations where the decisions could result in severe consequences such as loss of life or destruction of property. Experience developing the institution budget and specifically prepares the annual and quarterly budget for his department. Experience contributing to and participating in meetings and conferences in which policies are formulated, decisions reached, budgetary matters discussed, and plans made on administrative operations. Experience planning, organizing and reviewing work, administering personnel matters, and dealing effectively with employees and union representatives regarding employee-management concerns. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience.
