To qualify for the Senior Advisor position GS-15, you must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Minimum Qualifications To qualify for this position at the GS-15 grade level, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience must include all of: Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply policies, and related recruitment authorizations, and special hiring authorities; AND Comprehensive knowledge of management and administrative principles and practices and the ability to apply them when setting goals, objectives, and priorities in order to direct, manage, and conduct long-range planning for assigned program areas; AND Must display well-developed oral and written communication skills to prepare and defend policy papers, make presentations to high-level management officials, and coordinate with and provide liaison to high level officials internal and external of the organization; AND Represent the Directorate at ceremonies, official functions, and public events and make speeches/public addresses; AND Executes all administrative matters pertaining to the mass hiring and comprehensive training, to include implementing policies and procedures and coordinating program activities.
