In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Group Standard for Administrative & Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level (or other equivalent pay systems) in federal service which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position being filled. Specialized experience is experience which includes gathering information, identifying and analyzing issues and developing recommendations to resolve substantive problems of effectiveness and efficiency of logistics reporting processing; establish object performance metrics such as readiness reporting and risk analysis and assess the productivity, effectiveness and efficiency of logistics policies. Knowledge of logistics management principles, concepts and theories, specially related to Operational Contract Support (OCS) and the standard practices, methods and techniques sufficient to develop, implement and assess logistics policies and procedures. 2. Knowledge of analytical, evaluative, fact-finding and investigative techniques to collect and assess logistics data identify critical factors impacting operational effectiveness and recommend solutions from multiple alternatives. 3. Knowledge of logistics operations sufficient to conduct studies, develop reports and prepare documentation that clearly communicates factual and procedural information to senior leadership and stakeholders. 4. Skill in applying logistics management principles and practices to coordinate and execute logistics boards, working groups and policy development efforts. 5. Ability to communicate complex logistics concepts clearly, concisely and with technical accuracy, both orally in writing. 6. Ability to apply analytical and investigative techniques to assess logistics readiness, risk to mission and risk to personnel and to provide recommendations for process improvement. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
