Specialized experience: experience that demonstrated the ability to apply the principles of one or more specialty areas of recreation. Qualifying specialized experience includes: planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, or evaluating recreational programs/recreational curriculum instructing in the principles/techniques of recreational program planning and management. -OR-- Education: Possess an undergraduate (associate or bachelor's degree) or graduate (Masters' degree) in general recreation, or one of the appropriate fields of recreation such as outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation or physical education. In addition, possess strong organization and planning skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. Must successfully obtain and complete a Tier 1 Investigation, State Criminal History Repository Checks (SCHRC), and Installation Records Checks (IRCs). Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
